Led ZeppelinLed Zeppelin lead singer Robert Plant has quashed rumours that the band are set for a full UK tour after the response to their single reunion show at the O2 Arena in London in November.

Speaking to The Daily Express, Plant explains that there would only be the one show, “We need to do one last great show, because we’ve done some shows, and they’ve been crap.”

Plant has also admitted that he is considering moving away from live music completely after the November show.

“I know I’m getting on,” he said. “When I come back from touring I’m shocked to find a lot of my mates tend to be going to bed far too early, and that means I should probably be doing the same. Maybe I should stop having a good time and get old.”

GabrielleTwo british pop producers have worked out a way of getting better sound on MP3 players like the iPod. The first example of this is on Gabrielle’s comeback song “Why”.

The “poduction” remix of the track is supposed to be easier to listen to on earphones, and combats the loss of quality found in MP3 files.

Digital music files such as MP3s, Windows Media and Apple’s AAC format contain, on average, only 10% of the information from a full-quality CD recording and stripping out this much data leads to a reduction in sound quality.

The BoilerHouse Boys have developed a technique to compensate for this and provide a better audio experience through earphones.

Kelly JonesKelly Jones, frontman of Welsh band Stereophonics, was involved in a brawl at a London bar last night, leaving him with a bloodied arm. Reports suggest that the singer started the fight after he was thrown out of the women’s toilets at the venue.

Claiming he was looking after his girlfriend, Jones then smashed his arms on a table of glasses in protest, causing himself the injury. He then ended up scrapping alongside guitarist Adam Zindani with a passer-by, after Jones allegedly received verbal abuse.
