Wall of Sound Tonight, record label Wall of Sound showcased established act Infadels with support from fresh new band A.Human.

I arrived at the gig just as A.Human were midway through their first track of the night. It took the London six piece no time at all to mesmerise the packed crowd in this small but intimate venue.

The success of the bands live performance was owed largely to the stage presence of lead singer, Dave Human. While the remaining band members provided the melodic electronic beats and 80’s synchs effects, Dave wandered on and off stage to dance with the crowd whilst reaching out to the sky as he did so. The leftfield induced lyrics only added to the bands draw.

The last single which was released at the end of 07, Horse With No Name, went down a storm with the faithful contingent. Black Moon Dark Night will be released in April.

Next up were Infadels previewing tracks from their forthcoming album ‘Universe In Reverse’. In contrast to A.Human, the band played tighter and gave a more polished performance.

The radio friendly funk tunes became increasingly addictive as the set list progressed and the band gained confidence, causing the crowd to swell and push forward to get closer to the stage. The band came off to rapturous applause after completing the encore.

The crowd dispersed and the smiley faces moved downstairs to carry on dancing to a dj set by fellow label member ‘Reverend Soundsystem’.

Like the stickers plastered all over the toilets, there have been many acts that have come and gone through this gritty venue. Rest assured, A.Human and Infadels have enough talent to stick around for longer and are well worth checking out in 2008.
