Mark Timothy - Falling“Falling for you” is the debut album by critically acclaimed artist Mark Timothy. Mark produced and wrote the album alongside music producer Richard Matthews who has worked with many talented bands including the “Super Furry Animals” and “Funeral for a Friend”.

Mark has been on the music scene for around two years now, in early 2006 he released his EP entitled ‘Mark Timothy EP’, it was well received amongst critics and led Mark to embark on a series of live performances in the UK and in across the water in America.

Whilst Mark isn’t exactly mainstream yet, he does have a large online following with all the major social network sites covered including Facebook and myspace. The sites feature free song downloads and some blogs about what Mark’s been getting up to lately.

Falling for you features a series of beautifully sung, dreamy pop songs including ‘Please come home my love’ and’ Falling’ encompassing themes of love and life. Mark lists a diverse range of musical influences including, Goo Goo Dolls, Coldplay and KT Tunstall.

His album makes for easy listening, with its radio friendly soft melodies and fluid lyrics. It is not the best example of an outstanding male singer-songwriter though, as his music lacks the passion and emotion that certain male artists like Damien Rice deliver. Whist the songs are well crafted they are slightly forgettable, it’s background music, but at least it’s pleasant background music.
